Maynard Magic Misplaced...

Denham, fielding a weakened side led by Bobby Rai, won the toss and put Iver Heath into bat with Gerald O’Hara and Faisal Mahmood opening the bowling.

The visitors were restricted to 81 off 20 overs with Bobby Rai, Sam Rogers, Richie Braithwaite and Harish Bhatt all bowling well, but due to some dropped catches they managed to reach 201 off their 40 overs.

Denham got off to a bad start in reply, losing Bobby Rai and Faisal Mahmood cheaply.

In came Dave Maynard who quicken the run rate with an excellent 63 and he was well supported by Alan Coulson (12) and Gerald O’Hara (16 - including a large six), but once Maynard was out we were eventually bowled out for 150.
