Denham batted first on a damp wicket and accumulated a decent score of 175 with Stuart Payne leading the way with an excellent 50 supported well by Andy Leach 31, Dave Martin 24 not out and debutant Jamile with a quick 18

Denham bowled well with a wet ball and were able to restrict Hatch End to 145 all out, Harish taking an excellent 4-30 (with at least 100 appeals) and supported by Jamile with an excellent 3-16 and Phil Ashworth with 2-39.
