Denham lost the toss and were put into bat by Englefield and we were 20-0 after 6 overs before the rain intervened.

The game was eventually changed to a 50-overs-total game with Denham getting 27 overs and Englefield 23 overs.

Denham got 120 off their 27 overs with an excellent 57 from Joe O’Hara, but unfortunately this wasn’t enough as Englefield reached their target with 5 overs to spare.

Result: Denham 2 points Englefield 20 points

Denham had an excellent win on Sunday over their old rivals Uxbridge 2nd XI by 8 wickets.

First Uxbridge were skittled for 123 by some excellent slow Denham bowling, notably from Harish Bahtt (4/9 in 6 overs) and Phil Ashworth (3/14 in his 8 overs).

Denham then knocked off the runs for the loss of just 2 wickets, with James Nicholas (58) and Faisal Mahmood (not out 50) well to the fore.
