Tense Win on Difficult Wicket

Charismatic on-field skipper Bobby Rai continued our winning run despite losing the toss.

Put in on a difficult wicket by Sonning, Denham struggled to score fluently with the exception of Paul Hazell (58). The team managed 162 with useful contributions from Joe O'Hara (25) & Faisal Mahmood (20).

It was looking bleak for us with Sonning cruising at 108 for2 (despite a good opening spell by Faisal of 2 for 25), with the usual Denham wides and dropped catches encouraging Sonning on to victory.

Then the spin twins of Phil Ashworth & Bobby Rai took over. Sonning were soon dismissed for 140 with Phil taking 3 for 13 and Bobby 3 for 22.
