Denham v Uxbridge

Two non-arrivals left Denham a player short for the second time this season when Uxbridge visited on Friday.

However the best performance of the year so far still saw the boys take an 11-4 victory. James and Keith led the way with a 2-1 win in the first of the pairs, followed by Dan and Phil, and Ray and Pete each winning 3-0.

Ken then played on his own superbly to snatch one of the legs in the final pair to leave Denham 9-3 up.

James' brother Tom then arrived to take the final place in the fours and the eights of which Denham took 2 of the three legs.

Surprisingly the first four lost as they were probably the stronger on paper but the others faired better and took victory thanks to a double from Ray.

Denham wrapped up the eights brilliantly with all players throwing well for a good win on the night, leapfrogging them above their opponents to 2nd in the league, 8 points behind Bessborough.
