Denham v Bessborough:

The Challenge Falters

Denham got off to a great start against Bessborough by winning the first pair 3-0 thanks to James and 'Killer' Pete Schembri.

Things continued well with Dan and Ray winning 2-1 in the second pair.

The Knowlson partnership of Ken and Sheila didn't fair as well losing 3-0, but Keith and Andy won 2-1, giving Denham a 7-5 lead going into the fours and eights.

However Bessborough showed why they are top of the league and came storming back to take the last 3 legs to win 8-7 on the night. A disappointing finish to what should have been a good victory.

Denham are only just still in contention with 4 games of the season left before the new handicap format begins in the second half. They currently lie joint second with Uxbridge, 9 points back from leaders Bessborough.

Big wins are needed going forward.
