Denham Trio Maintain Line and Length on the Oche

Ickenham hosted the annual 'Cricket on a Dartboard' competition on February 1st.

Teams are made up of three players with no limits to the number of teams a club enters.

Denham had four teams submitted and their worst trio had the misfortune to be drawn against their pals in the best team. Nevertheless Denham 'D' consisting of Andy Hayward, Sheila and Ken Knowlson gave the 'A' team a run for their money, racking up 800+ runs in the first innings, unfortunately their bowling (wickets taken by hitting bull and outer) was a bit short, allowing the 'A' team to score 1200 runs. Thus deflated, Andy, Sheila and Ken scored poorly in their second innings, submitting to the inevitable and failed to make them bat again.

Denham 'A' consisting of Dan 'Chicken' Sutton, Ray 'Gloss' Painter and Keith 'Cool' Ackerman continued on their merry way to the final against 'Norff Harra'. A very tight game ensued with the Denham boys just winning by 2 wickets. More lager..........
