Denham Reach Final after Epic Semi

Denham darts team have added to their silverware with a guaranteed medal by reaching the final of the Knockout Trophy.

The current League & Cup Champions won through by 8 legs to 7 against a strong and unfamiliar Hayes CC side.

James Nicholas was absent this week, which pushed Russell ‘Jane’ Bowry and 'The Chicken' Dan Sutton to the top of the pecking order. They managed to scrape a leg, losing 2 - 1 against a very strong lead off pair.

Ray ‘Glossy’ Painter & Tony ‘Stanley’ Matthews were next to the oche, only to return with another 2 - 1 deficit.

Keith ‘Cool’ Ackerman & Tricky Jaycock were up next and they recorded Denham's first pairs victory by 2 to 1.

Tom ‘Lager’ Reynolds & Pete ‘Killer’ Schembri gave renewed hope and comfortably won their pairs 3 - 0.

Denham were now only one leg away from a place in the final, but Hayes fought back to win both fours and level at 7 - 7 before the final 1001 eights game.

Hayes' lead-off player started with a maximum 180 followed by their second man scoring over 100; things were starting to look bad until Russell ‘Jane’ Bowry matched that with a 180 of his own and Pete ‘Killer’ Schembri scored over 100.

It all came down to the finishing and it was 'The Chicken' Dan Sutton who secured the win with a last dart double six. Phew!!

Another Final for the Boys From Denham.

Well Done Lads !!!!
