Ken Knowlson's Report Denham finished a reasonably successful season in the Cricketers Darts League at the end of April when they received their runners-up trophies for the Knock-Out Cup at the presentation evening hosted by Uxbridge C.C.
Denham needed to win the last three legs to win the Cup, they won two of them but just failed to win the eights with both teams down to a double. In the League Denham finished joint third with North Harrow. Top player of the season was Ray Paynter, he had the best average and most finishes. Andy Hayward, the team manager, said that he hoped the team would do even better next year, especially as they missed one of their younger players who had 'Gone Walkabout' in Australia part way through the season. |
