Binfield 1st XI v Denham XI
August 30th 2008
Binfield (Marshall 72) were held to 221/7 in their maximum 52 overs.
Denham's response rather stuttered and in the end they were grateful to hang on for the draw at 179/9, but the 7 points they accumulated means they cannot be caught by ninth place Englefield, and so stay in Division 1/I for another season.
Binfield 14 pts Denham 7 pts
Next week a relaxed and relieved Denham will entertain Braywood, who have come into a bit of form, so this could be an excellent final match of the league season.

After a good opening stand (Ray Rulach 45, Mark Dalton 44), Denham fell away to be dismissed for 183 in 50 overs.
Hurley stormed to victory in just over 40 overs, for the loss of 5 wickets.
Denham 6 pts Hurley 30 pts
Denham languish in seventh place, but could be overtaken by Hurley if the latter's revival continues.
Next game: Denham need at least a couple of points to avoid ninth place, but they are away to league leaders Braywood. Oh dear, it's not a certainty!
