Binfield 1st XI v Denham 1st XI

August 5th 2006

James Nicholas's Report

Denham were asked to bowl first on a good Binfield wicket and soon had the home side in trouble at 35/3. However, dropped catches meant they failed to capitalise and allowed Binfield to post 251 all out with Edgington scoring 64. Jamil Shaikh was the pick of the bowlers with a superb spell of 4/37.

In reply, only James Nicholas was able to spend any real length of time at the wicket scoring 58. Denham therefore found it hard to build any partnerships and never really looked like getting close to the Binfield score, finally settling for the draw at 180/8.
