On Saturday 26th April Denham knocked up 188/5 declared, with fine contributions from Joe O'Hara (51), Andy Leach (45) and a rumbustious 37 at the end from Jeff Simpson

Joe was in splendid form with the ball gaining, 4 Fulmer wickets for 22 runs, while Phil and Jeff grabbed a couple each as the visitors went down by 33 runs

On April 27th some sustained late hitting saw Jordans Taverners reach 212/7 off their 40 overs. Joe was in miserly form with the ball (just 18 runs off his 8 overs), while Harish chipped with 3/31. A multitude of catches went down.

Denham were behind the clock against an accurate Jordans attack until Joe came in. He showed he meant business by thumping his first ball for 4. He went on to cart the ball to every part of the boundary to score the first Sunday century of the season (102).

Alas, it was in vain as Joe was bowled in very dark conditions with 30 wanted off 6 overs. The late order batsmen just could not pick the line quickly enough and so Denham lost by 9 runs.
