Death of Les Smith
The sad news of the death of one of Denham's oldest ex players has been advised. Les Smith, born in 1917, played at Denham for over 50 years. He started as a schoolboy at the club when he was 14 years old. The cremation took place at Breakspear Crematorium on August 8th. A number of ex playing colleagues were in attendance, along with many other friends who filled the chapel. The Cricket Club would like to express its condolences to his wife, Valerie and his children. Further information on Les will appear on the web site in due course.
